~ 1/10 SCALE STATUE ~

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! Kotobukiya’s Marvel Comics ARTFX+ Statues have brought you Avengers, X-Men, and most recently Spider-Man and characters from his world, but now we turn our attention to the street-level heroes of the Defenders. Kicking off this 1/10th scale quartet based on a brand new illustration by Marvel artist Dale Keown is none other than the protector of Hell’s Kitchen in his variant costume, DAREDEVIL BLACK SUIT! Matt Murdock grew up poor but idealistic in the rough neighborhood of New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, and he was sorely tested by the death of his father and being blinded by radioactive ooze in a freak accident. However, that injury would also enhance the boy’s other senses, and with training and razor-sharp focus he would become an expert martial artist. Honing his craft by night while working as a lawyer by day, Murdock defends the innocent and puts away the bad guys as Daredevil. With a career stretching back to 1964 and now appearing in multiple Netflix series, Daredevil is a mainstay of the Marvel Universe and now leaps into the ARTFX+ Statue lineup!

The “Man without Fear” will do almost anything to protect Hell’s Kitchen, and he appears here in a martial arts stance as he uses his radar sense to scan for bad guys. Daredevil stands with his feet spread apart in a slight crouch, hands extended out to his sides while he cocks his head to listen to the world around him. The athletic hero has an incredibly detailed sculpt showing off every muscle and sinew, while his costume is perfect down to the last detail with its boots, gloves, belts and holsters, and raised “DD” logo on his chest. And while the standard version of this statue is deep red, this variant depicts the darker costume with a black bodysuit and eye-catching red details! Daredevil’s face captures Murdock’s intensity perfectly beneath the costume’s distinctive horns, his head cocked slightly as though he can hear crime even before it happens. In each outstretched hand the hero grips one end of his modified billy club tightly, while a length of its retractable cord whips in front of him in a dynamic motion! Sculpted by Junnosuke Abe (RESTORE), the master behind all of the Marvel ARTFX+ releases, Daredevil Black Suit stands almost 7 ½ inches tall (1/10th scale) with magnets in his feet providing perfect stability on the included display base. Daredevil will look great whether he’s protecting your display alone or starting your collection of Defenders ARTFX+ Statues with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist! Available March 2018.

IRON FIST

Kotobukiya's Marvel Comics ARTFX+ statues have brought you Avengers, X-Men, and most recently Spider-Man and characters from his world, but now we turn our attention to the street-level heroes of the Defenders.

Kotobukiya's Defenders ARTFX+ series is a collaborative effort between renowned Marvel Comics artist Dale Keown and Junnosuke Abe (Restore), the sculptor behind many of Kotobukiya's Marvel statues. Standing approximately 20cm tall at 1/10 scale, the Defenders are the perfect addition to your Marvel collection!

The final entry in the Defenders ARTFX+ series is the one and only Iron Fist, who made his return to New York City after his intensive training in K’un-L’un. Iron Fist’s costume is based on the one designed by David Aja for The Immortal Iron Fist, which follows the current Iron Fist (Danny Rand) as well as the origin stories of the previous generations of the Iron Fist.

The Iron Fist is a practitioner of martial arts, and can focus his “chi” into his fist using the power granted to him by defeating the legendary dragon Shou-Lao the Undying. Iron Fist’s posing shows off his muscular form and martial arts prowess, his clenched fist glowing orange as he focuses his “chi.”

Like the other statues in the ARTFX+ series, Iron Fist has magnets in his feet that allow you to display him firmly on the included metal base. The statue’s 1/10 scale makes him perfect for displaying alongside the rest of the Defenders or with Luke Cage to form the original “Heroes for Hire.” Available September 2018.
