Interessant. Aber da mich wenn dann nur die einfache Version interessieren würde und die unlimitiert ist, warte ich erst mal ab, ob die es schaffen wirklich was auszuliefern und wie die Qualität ist.

HAL 9000 Update
The CAD drawing of our lens replica is nearly finished!

Our HAL panel’s lens is based on careful study of a vintage Nikon Nikkor f8 fisheye lens from the mid-1960s; the same type of lens used by Stanley Kubrick in the HAL prop seen in the film. Our replica is removable from the panel for separate display if desired.

The high-quality glass lens elements in the replica match the shape and curvature of the real lens as closely as possible. We're including the two most important elements: the large primary in front and a secondary lens element behind it, to create the illusion of depth you feel when looking into a real camera lens.

The red filter material and shutter aperture built into the replica match those on the real thing, to perfectly re-create the look of HAL’s red glow.
