Every year hundreds of thousands of people descended upon San Diego in a celebration of pop-culture of all kinds. It’s a spectacle to behold and Sideshow is there every year.

However, why limit the fun to just five days and one city? Why not invite the world to celebrate for an entire month?

We bring you: Sideshow’s Online Comic-Con!

No lines, no badges, no convention hall food of questionable origin and flavor profile! Just an entire month of new releases, content, and surprises. Everyday at 9am PST you can expect us to announce the newest collectibles that we’re working on. Some have been teased, and many have never before been seen. You’ll see the latest offerings from Marvel, DC, Star Wars, our own Court of the Dead, and so much more.

Want to be a part of it all? Join us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Also be sure to keep checking your inboxes as we unveil what our artists have been up to.

It all starts on July 1 and wraps up with us bringing you all the news and information we can direct from the show floor of SDCC! See you there!

There are TONS of factors for why things get moved, delayed, or even cancelled. Lincensor obligations, development and production capacity, sometimes you plan a "line" and the MOST popular characters dont sell well, so to commit to the rest of the "line" knowing there will be a significant drop off in sales with tertiary characters is pretty much just bad business, and the list goes on…

We pretty much have a "cap" with how many pieces we can develop and produce in a year, and we will sometimes flex outside of it a touch, but not much. So anytime a "new thing we HAVE TO DO" comes around, it's basically "one in one out" rules, and that gets tough choosing who makes the cut.

And I get collectors frustration with us doing 50 Hulks and 82 Batmans, but what they dont understand is the LONG TERM collector is a very small percentage of our sales, and each month we get a ton of new buyers who have never bought anything before, and we need to make sure our top selling characters are available to them. So it's a balance of trying to keep the business going, and keeping core collectors happy, which is, tough…

So yah, one day we'll hit certain characters people want, and some we will honestly probably never get around to. There's a lot of ground to cover with all of our licenses and new IP development, but we just cant do it all. And with the day to day changing landscape, we have to be careful with what we announce and when. Hopefully we keep the fans happy with what we got going, and what we have coming up, and we give them enough of a heads up.
