This is the reply I got.

“The issues surrounding vacuum forming are a large part of what led to the delay in this item. We worked with several factories over the years, some of which went out of business. The problem that we faced is that due to the vacuum forming "technology", we were unable to obtain consistency and accuracy with the helmets. In the end, we made the difficult decision to not use the vacuum technology as it was impossible to obtain a true and consistent reproduction of the helmet. However, although we did not utilize the vacuum process, the material used, thickness, and weight are completely accurate to the original prop.
